  Waiting for so long cause I got really bad pain from my stitches wound on my right thumb and unfortunately the pain killer from my GP is not working, in the end I have to cancel my check up at this ST John of God hospital in Midland.

  Comforting and caring and believable..I mattered in the realm of the moment. Nothing was more important than me. Along with every other person there who wanted to feel they mattered. And received the same special treatment. Family and community spirit exists here and I've experienced this before Here.

  How busy is the hospital they should of have the complete tools not wait until the other finished using it "for real?????". In my mind I was thinking this is ridiculous. I have to hold my pain for this long and this is not gonna worth it, while I saw some of the nurse just standing around chatting each other, ignore the other patient and they just staring at you then walk away.

  The staff are friendly and facility is lovely but it is chaos and understaffed. I received no treatment not even Panadol after asking for it for a throbbing headache and after birth pain. I was in Midland hospital for a total of 5 days between ED and the maternity ward. I'm not posting all the mishaps (there were many) but I'm very concerned for anyone entering the hospital. I was neglected medically and was only offered treatment at time of discharge were I was told in my situation a blood transfusion is normally considered.

  Posting for a friend who just had surgery, and he cannot type. He wants to say - "The hospital was of excellent standards with top class staff. Everything was of 5 star standards and impeccable. The staff were extremely friendly. Job well done!". EDIT - Addition from myself, I have just had a read of some of the reviews, and think that if you have one review, and only sign on to review this hospital with 1 star because of "No parking" and "I had to wait 3 hours" and "I could not stay with my partner after hours", I think to myself, what a pack of whining morons some of these reviewers are. Perhaps they should include with the review - "The world should revolve around me!".

  Practically they didn't do the job properly. I just decided to go home after more than 1 and half hour wait, even thou I got to wait for another 1.

  My wife was admitted in the early hours of the morning in September to the Emergency Department at Midland where she received excellent care from all staff. This continued through to her admission and hospital stay. Our close friend who is an esteemed Professor of Medicine at Guys Hospital London on reviewing her discharge notes stated her management and discharge summary were of textbook excellence. A big thankyou to Dr David Prentice and his team.

  I bring my hubby and our 10yo daughter, when the nurse call my name she told us "only 1 person can come inside to accompany the patient, cause the bay is not big enough" then my hubby answer with firm tone to the nurse "well I can't just leave our 10yo girl sit around here by herself!!!", when I got inside I am still waiting and the nurse just asking few more question to filled up the form, while she wait for the measures temperature machine cause they run out.

  On a good note I'd like to thank the triage nurse in ED who put us through straight away and set me up in a quiet room with my newborn.
